The Palm Beach Capos are seeking passionate, reliable, and football-minded individuals to join our 2026 coaching staff. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a competitive adult tackle football team in Palm Beach County — while building your coaching résumé, expanding your network, and contributing to something bigger than yourself.

This is not just a sideline role — it’s a chance to be part of a committed team that values discipline, structure, and growth. Whether you're an experienced coach or looking to break into the football world, we welcome those ready to put in the work.

Open Coaching Positions (2026 Season)

Offensive Coordinator

Role: Lead architect of the offensive game plan.

  • Design weekly offensive strategy and call plays on game day

  • Oversee all offensive position coaches

  • Conduct film breakdown and lead offensive meetings

  • Ensure offensive execution aligns with team philosophy


Quarterbacks Coach

Role: Develop and mentor the team’s quarterbacks.

  • Teach mechanics, footwork, and decision-making

  • Install passing concepts and situational awareness

  • Provide individual feedback through film and practice

  • Collaborate closely with OC on game planning


Running Backs Coach

Role: Train and prepare running backs for offensive success.

  • Focus on ball security, vision, footwork, and blocking technique

  • Organize position-specific drills

  • Assist with red zone and short-yardage packages

  • Monitor player development and conditioning


Wide Receivers Coach

Role: Guide the wide receiver unit in route running and timing.

  • Teach release techniques, route trees, and blocking fundamentals

  • Emphasize hands, footwork, and field awareness

  • Assist OC in implementing the passing attack

  • Conduct individual and group drills during practice


Offensive Line Coach

Role: Build the foundation of the offense through the line unit.

  • Teach stance, hand placement, and blocking schemes

  • Coach pass protection and run blocking fundamentals

  • Lead film review and breakdown for line performance

  • Reinforce communication and cohesion across the OL


Defensive Coordinator

Role: Lead the defensive game plan and strategy.

  • Install base defense, blitz packages, and coverage schemes

  • Coordinate with all defensive position coaches

  • Call defensive plays on game day

  • Analyze opponent tendencies and adjust accordingly


Linebackers Coach

Role: Develop the linebackers’ instincts and versatility.

  • Teach tackling, coverage, and run fits

  • Coach reaction drills and field communication

  • Focus on physical and mental toughness

  • Collaborate with DC on defensive adjustments


Defensive Line Coach

Role: Control the line of scrimmage through technique and toughness.

  • Emphasize hand fighting, leverage, and gap discipline

  • Lead individual and unit drills

  • Help implement stunt and blitz packages

  • Evaluate film and performance weekly


Defensive Backs Coach

Role: Lead the secondary in pass defense and field awareness.

  • Teach man and zone coverage, backpedaling, and reads

  • Run DB-specific drills to improve ball skills and reaction time

  • Break down opponent passing concepts

  • Reinforce communication and coverage calls


Special Teams Coordinator

Role: Oversee all aspects of special teams performance.

  • Install and manage kickoff, return, punt, and field goal units

  • Identify key contributors for each phase

  • Emphasize discipline, lane integrity, and situational awareness

  • Coordinate with Head Coach on in-game decisions

2026 Capos Coaching Rules

1. Commitment & Attendance
  • All coaches must attend every practice, meeting, and game unless excused in advance by the Head Coach.

  • Repeated absences or tardiness may result in removal from the staff.

  • Coaches are expected to arrive on time and prepared, with plans, film notes, and equipment (if applicable).

2. Professional Conduct
  • Coaches are expected to model respect, maturity, and self-control on and off the field.

  • No arguing with referees, fighting, or inappropriate language will be tolerated.

  • Coaches must treat all players, staff, volunteers, and opponents with dignity and professionalism.

3. Leadership & Culture
  • Coaches are expected to enforce discipline and accountability among players.

  • All coaches must uphold and reinforce the Capos core values: Brotherhood, Discipline, Toughness, Pride, and Growth.

  • Negativity, favoritism, or gossip within the coaching staff will not be tolerated.

4. Communication
  • Maintain open, respectful communication with the Head Coach, fellow staff, and players.

  • Participate in all coaching group chats, meetings, and film sessions.

  • Respond promptly to messages or scheduling updates.

5. Practice Expectations
  • All coaches are expected to know and follow the weekly practice plan set by the Head Coach.

  • Position coaches must run effective, structured drills during their designated time.

  • Coaches are expected to evaluate and coach up players, not just supervise reps.

6. Game Day Expectations
  • Coaches must wear assigned team apparel and act professionally on the sidelines.

  • Stay focused on your role; communicate clearly and constructively.

  • Support in-game adjustments and follow the game plan discussed during the week.

  • Represent the Capos with pride to fans, refs, and opposing teams.

7. Film & Game Prep
  • Coaches are expected to review film weekly and provide input to the Head Coach and Coordinators.

  • Assist in creating game plans, playbooks, and positional breakdowns when asked.

  • Help identify areas for improvement and player development based on film review.

8. Player Development & Mentorship
  • Coaches are responsible for coaching, teaching, and mentoring players at their position.

  • Give constructive feedback, encourage effort, and demand accountability.

  • Help players improve both on and off the field, especially in preparation and mindset.

9. Compliance & Safety
  • Follow all team policies and league rules at all times.

  • Report injuries, incidents, or player concerns to the Head Coach immediately.

  • Promote a safe, respectful, and structured team environment.

10. Representing the Program
  • As a Capos coach, you represent the team at all times — on social media, in the community, and on the field.

  • Avoid any actions, posts, or behavior that would reflect negatively on the organization.

  • Always act in the best interest of the team.



*Failure to follow these rules and expectations may result in removal from the coaching staff at the discretion of the Head Coach or team leadership.
